My money journey from an unexpected life moment.

In 2018, both my parents were diagnosed with cancer months apart. In a matter of weeks, I took a break from work and went home to take care of them & start their treatments.

I was not financially prepared for this and lived off of PTO & a small savings.

This moment changed everything for me.

I didn’t like being so financially vulnerable & promised myself this would never happen again. Both my parents beat cancer & I returned home.

Since that marking moment, I’ve been able to:

Grow a $100k+ investment portfolio (starting at a $29k/year salary)

Build and maintain a fully funded emergency fund of $30k

Set my daughter up her own investing account & start building generational wealth

Move through different seasons (home ownership, getting married, starting a family, etc.) of life knowing my finances are set up to take care of me.
